Plainsbreaker Apparel Collaboration with Down Syndrome Association of Toronto
“World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is marked each year on March 21st. The 21st day of the 3rd month signifies the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome (Trisomy 21). On this day, people with Down Syndrome and those close to them throughout the world organize and participate in activities and events to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down syndrome. The Down Syndrome Association of Toronto (DSAT) organizes the “Rock Your Socks” fundraising campaign each year to celebrate WDSD.
DSAT’s mission is to support and empower individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout the GTA through programs and resources. We aim to advocate, raise awareness, and promote integration and participation within an inclusive community. By purchasing a pair of DSAT socks and participating in the “Rock Your Socks” celebration, you are contributing to the achievement of this mission.
